I would like to start by welcoming you to the Hogwarts Castle; this castle is a wondrous, magical building with many towers and turrets. It is home to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Hogwarts was built in a forested area, directly next to a fairly large lake, in the highlands of Scotland. The Castle is not a building that could be built by muggles for it is supported by the magic of Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin.My name is Professor Dumbledore and I am the Headmaster at this school. This, as you may know, is the only wizarding school in Britain. And as I know, all young witches and wizards need their education, which is why Hogwarts was founded. |
